Intergrated Food Chain Inspection And Audit Services


FoodCert B.V., The Netherlands is the first body in the world accredited by RvA for HACCP, Eurepgap, and HACCP System based Hygienic codes of Practices.

The sectors for which FoodCert B.V., offering certification programs are listed below:

A.Primary Production Related Standards

  1. European Retail Parties Good Agricultural Practices (EUREPGAP).
  2. Nature's Choice scheme for Tesco Retailer , UK for production of fruits & vegetables.
  3. “Field to Fork” assessment, scheme owned by Marks & Spencer, covering cultivation and production of fruits & vegetables and handling at the pack house.
  4. EUREPGAP Integrated Farm Assurance (IFA) covering Fruits and Vegetables and Combinable crops.
  5. QS :

    This stands for Quality Assurance, established by leading Associations and Organizations in Germany within Food Industry, in the year 2001. This covers entire chain from food retailer to agriculture and animal feed. Currently more than 70,000 companies worldwide participate in QS. The product areas covered include meat, extended to Fruits and Vegetables and Potatoes. Some of the German retailers are requesting conformance of the scheme before orders are placed.

    At present FoodCert B V is one of the 26 approved certification bodies worldwide for QS. This scheme is appropriate to the organizations exporting to Germany .

  6. Handling of Fruits & Vegetables

    Handling Fresh Fruits and Vegetables under HACCP System based “The Hygiene Code for Uncut Fresh Vegetables, Fruit and Mushrooms”. This scheme is accredited by RvA under European Standard.

B. Food Processing and Retail Sale related Standards

  1. Processing of Fruits & Vegetables and other food products

    •  HACCP –Sept-2002

    Requirements for HACCP based food safety System, compiled by the National Board of Experts – HACCP, The Netherlands, Sept 2002 accredited under European Standard EN 45012 and is the only HACCP scheme recognized by Global Food Safety Initiative – GFSI ( www.ciesnet.com ) a worldwide association of retailers.

    •  ISO 22000 Food Safety Management Systems

    Requirements for any organization in the Food Chain, Foodcert B.V., commenced registration of the organizations within the Food chain for ISO 22000. The accreditation by RvA is expected in Sept 2006

  2. BRC Global Standard – Food 2005. A scheme accredited by RvA under European standard. The standard was developed to assist retailers in their fulfillment of legal obligation and protection of the consumer by providing a common basis for the audit of companies supplying retailer branded food products.
  3. International Food Standard Jan 2004 . This standard was developed for auditing retailer (and wholesaler) branded food products by the French and German retailers.
  4. HACCP System based “The Hygiene Code for the Hotel & Catering Industry”. This scheme is accredited by RvA under European Standard.

C. Animal Feed and Feed Additives related Standard

  1. GMP +

    FoodCert B. V is a recognized certification body by the Product Board Animal Feed (PDV); The Netherlands for GMP+ system and in May 2006 FAMI-QS (Feed Additives and Pre-Mixtures Quality System European Association) has signed an agreement with OVOCOM (Belgium) and Product Board Animal Feed (PDV) for mutual recognition of their schemes. This scheme is appropriate for the manufacturers of Animal feed and Feed Additives.

D. Other Sectors

  1. FoodCert B.V., The Netherlands is also accredited under European standard for HACCP based Branch Hygienic codes of practices covering the following areas:

    •  Supermarkets, Bakeries for bread & confectionery

    •  Traders of fresh fruit and vegetables

    •  Butcheries

    FoodCert B.V., focus is on the entire integrated food chain, thus one stop source of internationally recognized certification schemes for the food business operators and the retailers.

 


The whole chain of the above standards / schemes have been accredited under European Standards EN 45011, 45012 and EN 45004, which have global recognition.
