Learning Objectives :
Explain the role of an auditor to plan, conduct, report and follow up a Quality Management System audit in an automotive context and in accordance with ISO 19011 requirements.
Plan,
conduct, report and follow up an audit in compliance with the requirements
of ISO/TS16949:2002 & the
applicable customer specification.
Course Contents :
Quality Evolution & Introduction to QMS.
Interpretation of ISO/TS 16949 requirements & analysis of the difference between ISO 9001 & ISO/TS 16949 requirements
Explain the benefits and values of documentation, circumstances of exclusion of the ISO/TS 16949 requirements and the Process-based Quality Management system Model development & implementation
Understanding & appreciation of various TS tools namely: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan, SPC & MSA, Tooling Management Program and Preventive & Predictive Maintenance.
How to plan and prepare QMS audits based on the “Process Approach” including ability to develop and use Checklist and Matrix of Requirements and Process-based Audit Plan, using appropriate information gathered during the stage 1 audit.
How to Conduct, Report and Follow-up QMS audits based on the “Process Approach” including various Audit Methodology, Questioning Techniques, Roles and Responsibility in order to collect and analyze evidence, exercise objectivity and make decisions on the significance of observation made in accordance to relevant audit criteria.
The Psychology of Auditing, Auditor’s responsibilities and attributes
The ISO/TS 16949 Assessment Process and IATF Certification Regulation
Application of "Accelerated Learning Methodology", Continuous Assessment & Examination to optimize learning objectives and validate participants’ performance.
The benefits of certification as an IRCA
QMS 2000 Auditor, including brief details of the IRCA QMS 2000 Auditor
certification scheme (IRCA/602), and provide students with details of
how to contact IRCA and apply for certification
Notes :
*Delegates should study the ISO/TS 16949:2002 Standard before attending the course.
**Successful completion of course does not qualify participants to conduct 3rd party audit for ISO/TS 16949:2002.
Examination and Qualification :
An examination will be administered on the final day. The examination would cover the topics covered in the course and would last two hours. All the examination papers would be marked personally by the course tutor. The pass mark will be set at 70% and examination papers will be retained by IQCS.
All delegates who have successful passed the above courses have the opportunity to register as QMS auditor/lead auditor with the IQA-IRCA. (Note: for more information, please contact IRCA)
